I’m looking to connect with Business Development professionals (3 years minimum) ACROSS THE US with experience in the full-service CDMO industry as part of an exciting upcoming project with one of our leading clients! My client is a well-respected CDMO, offering comprehensive services from development to commercial manufacturing. Known for their innovation and commitment to quality, they are seeking a 3 x highly motivated Business Developers to cover the US market, where you will be the sole representative for the business in your region.

As the Business Development Director, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s footprint in your territory. This is an exciting opportunity to work autonomously, spearheading growth and new business opportunities. You will be responsible for building relationships with key pharmaceutical and biotech companies and driving revenue across the territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic business development plan tailored to the your market.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with decision-makers within pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, and collaborate closely with internal teams to meet client expectations.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, providing valuable insights to help shape the company’s offerings.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand your network and promote their services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with knowledge of sterile injectables or CDMO services. Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a leading Business Development role.
  • Strong network of contacts in the US pharmaceutical/biotech market in relation to your market.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of a large, strategically important territory.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across your territory as and when required.
